Sarah Palin vs. Mama Grizzlies

(August 20, 2010) Dr J appears on Issues, Etc to discuss the recent anti-Sarah Palin video campaign put out by some "Mama Grizzlies."  These women are upset that someone who doesn't share their views proports to "speak for" them, but they conveniently forget the gripe when pro-choice women proport to "speak for" all of womankind.

Abortion Counseling or Abortion Advertising?

(May 25, 2010) Great Britain has just permitted ads for abortion to air on its television stations, and CBS covered the story and spotlighted one such ad, which never mentions the word "abortion" but directs viewers to an 800 number they can call for "balanced advice."  Just how balanced the advice is remains to be seen, since Marie Stopes representatives described the spot as "Britain's first-ever TV commercial for abortion services."

Billboards in Atlanta

(February 23, 2010) Billboards have been popping up all over Atlanta, Georgia, and their content has people upset.  Why?  One of the open secrets of Planned Parenthood (along with the eugenics nature and of its founding and the "racial preferences" expressed in the writings of its founders) is that it performs a disproportionately high number of abortions on the black community.  To point this out is, apparently, "racist"--no accompanying word on whether targeting ethnic communities for death is "racist."  Todd Wilken and Dr J have more of the details.

Tim Tebow's Superbowl Ad

(January 26, 2010) During this year's Superbowl, CBS is airing an ad featuring Tim Tebow.  The ad is proving controversial because Tim thanks his mom for his life (she was facing a difficult situation, and abortion was an option).  NOW and other pro-abortion groups are inscensed that this point is being raised at the Superbowl; Dr J takes some wind out of their sails.  She opens the segment with a joke...

When Feminists Attack: The Sarah Palin Chronicles

(November 17, 2009) Dr J appears on Issues, Etc. to discuss this morning's Barbara Walters/Sarah Palin interview and the ongoing reaction to Sarah Palin herself.  She's a very polarizing figure, even though she seems to fit the definition of a modern woman in many ways: mom of a large family, high-profile job with possibilities of promotion.  Yet feminists loathe her and conservatives applaud her.  Dr J elucidates the feminists' position and the reasons for their reaction to this pro-family politico.
